What are the best things about art fairs

The anticipation, reconnection with old friends, meeting new friends, learning new skills, trading, sleeping in the back of the truck (when we were younger,) the smell of corndogs, elephant ears, green chili tamales and dogs, the excitement of the little children having their faces painted, the excitement of those attending, when they find that "perfect something," and, sometimes, the wonderful feeling when that "perfect something" is something I have created.

Best show ever and why

See "worst show ever." In retrospect it was also the best, or at least one of the best. I made some wonderful friends that day, have a funny story, and learned a lot about what's important, and what's not.

Worst show ever and why

the show during which I was asked to cover up the "lewdness" of my little nude figures, and a row ensued during which someone started waving one of them around and howling something about my presumed "evil agenda." An equally zelous "Someone Else" (I have no idea who.....) took further umbrage and a full fledged shin kicking, name calling, hair pulling fight broke out. I just wanted to collect my little figures and sink into the ground. As unpleasant as the event was, It did bring attention to my work, and I later sold every figure.
