What are the best things about art fairs

First is generating an income. But a close second is meeting so many interesting people (both customers and other artists) and listening to the stories they share.

Best show ever and why

Art in the Park - Plymouth, Michigan, because it was very lucrative with great crowds and many motivated buyers. Also, it was very close to my home so I knew a lot of people who stopped by, making it a very fun show to do.

Worst show ever and why

St. Petersburg (Florida) Fine Arts Festival in February. Two primary reasons - the first (and most important) is the organizers and people on site "running" the show seemed to not care about the artists. No help at all, not even showing us where our spot was. Terribly run. The second is there were very few buyers for such a potentially decent area. Lost money on this show.

Who referred you to ArtFairInsiders.com? Please be specific.

My wife, Michelle James. She is a member.

What is one fun fact about yourself?

Besides my passion for photography, I also build furniture (not for sale, but for personal use and for friends/family)
