What are the best things about art fairs
talking to strangers and connecting with them about art and life, traveling to a new city, the excitement of selling my art, being my own boss
Best show ever and why
I've only done three so the best so far was the Paseo Arts Festival in Oklahoma City. Patrons were sincerely interested in my art, so grateful I was there, and I sold several paintings.
Worst show ever and why
Smoky Hill River Festival in Salina Kansas. This festival is a joke. The public is not at all interested in buying art. They are interested in trinkets. Very little connections with patrons. Very middle class crowd who can't afford good art at a decent price. Several artists didn't make a penny. I sold three 12X12's the whole weekend.
