First show ever
A small Art Show at the Museum of the Earth, Ithaca, NY (the first and last for this show). It was outside, and thank god it didn't rain, as I didn't have a tent!
What are the best things about art fairs
meeting people who are genuinely enthusiastic about what I do.
Best show ever and why
I did a very small show at Abilene, a local bar, a few years ago. Not only were my sales great, it was a huge confidence booster, and really kicked off my local networking.
Worst show ever and why
I did a show one summer, put on by some great folks who do a wonderful fall & spring show, but this one was a total dud. I had to set up my tent in the pouring rain, was damp all day, and once the rain stopped, it was blazing sun & humid. Oh, and I had about 4 sales all day- one was by my dad!
