What are the best things about art fairs

selling lots of stuff

Best show ever and why

Wooly Worm , Banner Elk NC Close By, great sales numbers, low entry fee, lots of publicity, long established history, good customer base some of whom knew my work. This is tied with "2014 Festival on Ponce" Atlanta, GA decent sales cut short by rain on second day, great organization (AFFPS). lots of happy people, but most of all I won "Best in Show"

Worst show ever and why

"Wine Festival in The Plains" at The Plains, VA. Promoter misrepresents the customer base, claiming high income demographic 35-59ish that spends in excess of $200 per, but reality is more like they were sampling and buying wine lots of 20something drunks and a high entry fee that discouraged the real arts customers. All the other artists that we talked to werte first timers at that show. No one repeats. To the promoters, all that the artsists were was decoration.
