What are the best things about art fairs
Getting to experience the public's response to my work. Meeting other artists. When it happens: Knowing that someone connected with my work enough to part with their hard earned money to purchase the piece.
Best show ever and why
Sugar Creek in Normal, Illinois. At the time it was a hometown show for me so that does play a part but beyond the savings of no travel costs. The show is well managed and my work was appreciated enough to make a profit.
Worst show ever and why
A show in Chicago Land (don't remember the suburb's name. I was competing with pop-beads, tie-dyed tee shirts, China made necklaces (2 sets for 10.00) and crocheted dish cloths. The show was in my first year and while advertised as an art festival, it was not.

Many topics have already been discussed here before you joined us. You might like to try a search of your topic before you post your question. Just put your topic, canopy tents, jurying fees, Ann Arbor Art Fair, etc, into the search bar at the top of the right side of the page. You might be surprised that someone has already asked your question.
