Years in the Art Fair Business

20+ Knew I was going to be an Artist since the age of 4

First show ever

Festival of Lights Holiday show Niagara Falls NY

What are the best things about art fairs

Building a Client base. Meeting people who are truly interested in my story and how I express it in my work. Mostly though I must say meeting other Artists who can relate to my passion.

Best show ever and why

Chris Cringle Champaign Illinois I got bombarded with sales/custom orders/commissions on the 1st day all before lunch and by 2:00 that afternoon I actually became panic stricken (overwhelmed) with fear about how I would get all the orders done before Christmas. I actually had people tell me that although it was a Christmas gift they would be willing to wait until after Christmas if need be. I worked in the order of how each piece was taken and delivered the last one on December 23rd. It was a Horribly Wonderful experience.

Worst show ever and why

Celebration at EIU Charleston IL. It poured. I suppose a show that ACTUALLY has an umbrella in their logo should have been a clue! Rain and paintings don't like each other at all.

Who referred you to ArtFairInsiders.com? Please be specific.

Several Artists at Arts In Central Park, Decatur IL During the welcome reception for the Artists...Art Fair Insiders came Highly recommended. As I finish my website and blog I am going to provide a link and recommend the site to all Artists as well.

What is one fun fact about yourself?

My Studio/Gallery "Covered In Paint" is named after me literally...Every article of clothing I own has paint on it somewhere. I always have paint in my hair, my car keys, the handle of my coffee cup, computer keys and everything I own pretty much. I know some would say, "Well you're just sloppy" but honestly I take every precaution and some how paint finds a way. Covered In Paint also applies to my line of work as I paint on EVERYTHING from canvas to race cars.
