First show ever
My first show was an "Open Studio" in my home. It was in February, 2009 and exceeded my expectations! I have to say, that I was very nervous about what kind of response I would receive! But, after the response was so favorable, I was so motivated and inspired to forge ahead.
What are the best things about art fairs
Artists and buyers together face to face. I love the interaction!
Best show ever and why
Even though I have had many wonderful experiences and successful shows, I think the best show was the first show I participated in at our local greenhouse right before Christmas 2009. The owner makes cookies and snacks to feed us, the setting is so peaceful and the patrons are so friendly. It was magical! I now look forward to this show every year.
Worst show ever and why
I will never forget this experience. The show was at a country club in a very exclusive area. My expectations were high and the results were zero. I felt like the wall flower at the junior high dance. There were a lot of buy/sell and I didn't research it well enough....but I learned how it important it is do this going forward.
