Have not done many shows but have been in galleries.
First show ever
I'm just leaving a cooperative gallery which I've been a member/owner or 6 years and am looking for indoor shows here on Cape Cod for the winter. I have taught decorative painting for almost 20 years at home and at another studio and am ready to try something that is a challenge to me. (I'm almost 71 so I think i have to hurry up! )
What are the best things about art fairs
The talent. Local shows have the same exhibitors year after year and their entries do not change much so it's wonderful to see new artists' and artisans' work and their interpretations.
Best show ever and why
The Buyers Market in Baltimore. I live a very sheltered life and only go to Baltimore when there's a blizzard that just about shuts everything down! I've been there a number of times and it is just wonderful.
Worst show ever and why
Probably that blizzard show when no one was able to get there and there was a paucity of entries.

No one referred me to the ArtFairInsiders site. I was surfing and found it and was delighted. I need to have my eyes opened to the world around me every so often.
