First show ever

My first gallery type showing would have been in the early 70's. I won best in show.

What are the best things about art fairs

Chance to get first hand public feedback on your artwork. Opportunity to mix and mingle with buyers. Chance to intermingle with other artists - only if you can get away from your booth long enough. Working shows by myself, rarely affords such. Creates a lifestyle of travel which brings it's own rewards such as exploration. Particularly great for my medium allowing me chances to photograph in diverse areas.

Best show ever and why

St James for the fantastic treatment the staff and local neighbors give to the artist. So welcoming, helpful and generous. Although Mt Gretna was close. In St James, even though we had heavy rains they did all they could to help, gave us carpeting, helped with our booths. Feeding us. Even helped breaking down my booth in the mud. Could not ask for more. Very organized and concerned.

Worst show ever and why

Not sure I want to list it here.

What is one fun fact about yourself?

I am an enigma wrapped up in an anomaly. I am also a walking book of misinformation. Photography, exploration and travelling aimlessly is not a job - it is a labor of love and a way of life for me.

  • Thank you, Larry, for referring Hollie Graze to Art Fair Insiders.
  • Larry, I have always been in the original show, by the fountain, it is still the best show of all of them, I would stay away from fourth street, fifth is the next best choice. sJ is a low end sales show, for me it is hard to make $3500 anymore, I am about ready to drop it after 25 years. Hope this helps a little.
