"My experience with Patty was the same as Dave. It remains my biggest loss at a show. With HAE, I do them when I have to. FL is a market I don't do much with. you have to just roll with their system. Treat them nice, they'll treat you…"

"I have not done the shows you are asking about.  However, I much prefer a show with a gate fee.  One that I do twice a year is a 3 day show.  Each ticket allows reentry on any of the following days.  Friday is $10, Saturday and…"

Larry Sohn replied to Ruel Martin's discussion Howard Alan or Hot Works Festivals
"I had heard of complaints about "attitude" at HAE shows. Even specifying a certain lady. However, when I did their shows, I found just the opposite. They were professional, clear, effective and polite. The lady (in question) was very nice.…"

What are the best things about art fairs
Getting to demonstrate my passion and love for the type of art that I do and experiencing the positive responses of people.
Best show ever and why
The American Craft Council's Show in Atlanta, GA was my best show because the work of all the artists was top notch and I sold triple the amount of work there due to the high-end clientele attending.
Worst show ever and why
Juno Beach show by Howard Alan Events. Weather was not good and my work, which is not a "beach" motif was not a good fit for the festival. The clientele was not even remotely high-end so my work was gawked at for the price by people who could not appreciate the work that goes into it.
Who referred you to ArtFairInsiders.com? Please be specific.
No one. discovered this site on the internet doing research for shows and event organizers
What is one fun fact about yourself?
I love riding my Indian motorcycle
