Barry Shandler commented on Cherie Smittle's blog post My first art fair (mountain festival)
"Your booth is quite nice . If you want to keep it, and avoid a lawsuit, you need weights.  I like the EURMAX bags you fill with gravel.  They are less than $25 a set of four , easy to carry,  and add 20 LB to each leg. Of course …"

Barry Shandler replied to Terri Einer's discussion I'm interested in purchasing...Rant
"I didn't look but does your picture say "to buy this picture click here".  Perfectly clear and precise.    If it  doesn't I most likely would just click "delete" and not send a question in return."

Barry Shandler replied to David Bornancin's discussion Today's Art Work - What do people Want?

Barry Shandler commented on Nels johnson's blog post The Phyllis Olsen Art Show in Cadillac, Michigan
"I loved reading this. I also gave up Ann Arbor in 2015 after 25 years. It wasn't worth it any more. I was thinking of Cadillac but not now.  I sure wish Nels would write a book on the history of the art/craft business and his many…"

Barry Shandler replied to Kristen Truesdail's discussion buying better tent outer walls

Barry Shandler replied to DORI SMITH's discussion Going about art fairs wrong

Like Lite Domes

Posted on August 30, 2012 at 7:25am 0 Comments

I have a 10X10 and a  6X10 ( old Ann Arbor State Street Model )  Lite Dome.  I really like them , they hold up in high winds, dont pool water in the rain , and the company is very helpful.    Both are easier to set up with two people but can be done alone. You do need a three step folding stool to make the job much easier.  I use  a PVC tube weight  filled with lead shot for each cornor. .     Do get all four sides zippered  and an awning zipper as they make life easier in the long run. …
