"One of the reasons that deadlines keep getting extended, is that shows believe artists are too distracted to be paying attention to the deadlines. One show organizer told me that at the moment show applications are dead in the water. No one is…"

"Absolutely!  However, it clearly reads that they are going to look at the 2018 return (no refund) then look at the 2019 return (due on July 15th - not submitted).  I am assuming the worst and hoping for the best that they look at the…"

What are the best things about art fairs
The attendees want to buy if you have the right product offering. They appreciate someone who offers a very different art product.
Best show ever and why
Toledo's Old West End Art Festival: This show has a 40+ year track record. It is a beautiful setting with the artists surrounding the Toledo Glass Pavillion directly across the street from the Toledo Art Museum. The crowds can be enormous if the weather is right.
Worst show ever and why
WOOD COUNTY INVITATIONAL ART SHOW, a subset of the Black Swamp Art Festival. The WCIAS jury adjusts their "schedule" to allow artists who applied but "have not" been selected for the Black Swamp to apply after their rejection to the WCIAS. In both cases, this extended jury period causes applicants to leave a key weekend date unfilled while the WCIAS juries in their regular artists.

Discovered it on my own.
What is one fun fact about yourself?
I'm having more fun today doing our patent art business than I had over a 30+ year career selling intangible products.
