Hi Christina, Thanks for the welcome! I'm buried in work for a show on the 4th of July but hope to take some time after to really dig into the site. I have plenty to learn!

Best,
Tisha

Hi Christina, I have a question about my eligibility for craft shows. My craft is sewing, not surface design. I do not do the batik and hand-painted work on my dresses. But my sewing is more sophisticated than anything I have seen in art shows. Everything is fully lined. I include a lot of hand finishing details you would find in couture sewing such as bra strap keepers, applique over seams, shaped edges, hand-stitched hems, etc. And, I do alot of design work to adapt the cut of the dress to the surface design of the fabric. The surface design falls differently on different sizes. Most of my work is custom, but, I make samples so people can get an idea of what I can do with a surface design. Each dress is truly custom made even when I am using the same surface design. Would I be eligible for shows? Which juries would be most open to my work? I have made an album on this site with examples of my work. Could you give me some advice? Many thanks for your time and thought. Heather Sooder
