Park Forest, Illinois
Presented by Tall Grass Arts Association
On Village Green and along Main Street
Saturday & Sunday 10am-5pm
80 Artists
Deadline: May 7
Application fee: $35 Booth fee: $175
The Park Forest Art Fair is the second oldest continuously juried fine art fair in the Chicagoland region. It is an exceptionally artist-friendly fair with helpers to assist with loading and reloading, and distribution of bottled water all day. There are prizes totaling $3,000.
Because Tall Grass is a not-for-profit and gets to know its artists well, it is sensitive to the impact of the costs of participating in an art fair. For that reason, it has kept its registration fee at $175 through the recession and beyond. Tall Grass feels it is especially important to keep the cost of the art fair registration low during the present economic environment. The Board of Tall Grass provides the art fair artists a continental breakfast on Saturday and Sunday and a wonderful dinner on Saturday evening during which prize winners are announced. Two years ago, the Board also provided a healthy snack on Saturday since many artists could not take the time to visit the food vendors.
But I have to say the thing that impressed me the most is this show runs like a well-oiled machine and it's all done with volunteers and donations, not some big promoter.
In closing I have to give this art fair a A+ and I would recommend it to anyone that likes being treated like a guest. I also have to thank the people from Park Forest and surrounding areas for coming out to see the show." Janet Hubbard, Oak Creek, WI
"Thank you for your many, many, many efforts. It really is a wonderful show. I've done plenty of shows in the city and affluent north suburbs but none of them can compare to the ease, loyalty and support that the Park Forest Art Fair offers. I have always said it feels like coming home." Jennifer Meyer, Lansing, IL
"We were so happy with our sales this year, we were practically giddy! Having a great show at Park Forest really made our summer!! Thank you for all you do!" The Pottery Boys, Blue Island, IL

Showcase and sell your Fine Art at BASIC's Circle of Art, outdoors, all while surrounded by the beauty of Southern California's Anza-Borrego Desert State Park! This singular opportunity to enjoy the mountains, blue sky and springtime beauty of the Anza-Borrego Desert is also a chance to contribute to the educational aspirations of the Borrego Springs community learners.
The Circle of Art in Borrego Springs, is BASIC's (Basic Assistance to Students in the Community) oldest major fundraising event.
Since 1989, every year in March, Borrego Springs is host to the Circle of Art at Christmas Circle Park in the heart of the village. This juried fine arts show and sale is free to the public and features approximately seventy exhibitors; the chosen artists exhibit quality paintings and artworks representing a variety of media.
All proceeds from the Circle of Art go towards BASIC's educational programs and scholarships for the learners of the Borrego Springs Community - preschoolers, school children, youth, students in high school and college, and adults. More information about BASIC's Cradle to Graduation (C2G) programs can be found on our website, under the tab "Our Programs".
New this year is the addition of an emergency wifi hotspot to help artists process payments should the cellular service be less than ideal.

We think you'll enjoy spending the weekend with us in this historic neighborhood during its very popular Home Tour (celebrating its 39th year in 2021). The neighborhood was placed on the National Historic Register in 1984 and the ArtsFest takes place in the street in front of these revived workers' cottages and restored mansions. Imagine your booth set among shady trees and enjoy the easy-going vibe, where the residents show off their unique homes to old house lovers. This event regularly brings in about 3,000 people who are ready to look and buy.
The event includes tasty food from a variety of food trucks and live music. Our media sponsor, NPR, brings out the people who will appreciate your one-of-a-kind work.
Limited to 60 artists. Easy setup, casual atmosphere, drive up to your booth. Short hours. Fine music and tasty food from food trucks. Tons of foot traffic. A cool place to spend the weekend and you can't beat the booth fee!

The Park Forest Art Fair is the second oldest continuously juried fine art fair in the Chicagoland region. A continental breakfast is provided both days and Board Members provide a wonderful dinner for the artists on Saturday evening at which time prizes are announced. This year, the art fair plans to include a sidewalk art event. For families and children, the event will be pure fun and not competitive but there will be a competitive element for professional artists. Inasmuch as 2024 marks the 75th anniversary of the incorporation of the Village of Park Forest, there will be a commemorative element to the fair. It is currently in the planning stages.
Testimonials:
To all the wonderful people who worked so hard to put together such a great art fair; I have always thought that you, at Tall Grass, accommodate the vendors most thoughtfully. Tall Grass art fair is a wonderful experience for participating artists, art aficionados and the Park Forest community.
Sue Wade, jewelry artist
The Park Forest Art Fair was simply amazing. I have never experienced an art fair such as this before. The attention and support given to the artists made one feel like royalty. I enjoyed the breakfast and was more than grateful for the spread that was laid before us for dinner. The award ceremony left me speechless. I have never experienced that level of appreciation for vendors at an Art Fair before. Wow!!! Is all I can say.
Tara McGee, Bayete Jewelry Collection LLC
This Tall Grass Art Fair was at its best for a number of reasons. First of all, the weather was great! Secondly, art lovers found so much to love. Third, Tall Grass did an amazing job. Last, but not least, I made plenty of sales. Thank you, Tall Grass Arts Association.
Patricia Stewart
This was a great fair with enthusiastic shoppers and talented artists.
Don Widmer, Paper artist
This longstanding art fair is small but extremely well run and always quality and diverse art. This year, sales exceeded all my previous shows, even with moderate crowds. I recommend this venue.
