Yorkfest Festival is coming up on August 23-24 in York Pennsylvania, and yes, we will be there. We had been hoping for an art fair that would put us out close to Pennsylvania Amish country to visit a dear aunt, so when the jury gave us the thumbs up we were excited.
But i dont know alot about the show, and wonder if you have done it, and what suggestions you might have for the show. We are located in what seems to be a good spot on the Rails and Trails section, close to the action, near a corner.
I would really value your feedback.

Toby, it was nice to meet your wife and yourself. I am hopeful that your experience was good. We enjoyed Yorkfest, even through the sprinkle and rain on saturday. The weekend was attended well, but proportion of attendees to buyers was a little light. Colleen, sleepy was a good explaination. Great venue. We loved being on the rails and trails, and had wonderfully interesting neighbor artists. We were very close to King street and on the opposite side of the trail from the river. Yorkfest was well organized, and the volunteers were very enthusiastic. It is one we will do again if they will have us. The bonus was spending the weekend with a dear aunt we have not seen in a few years. She sat with us at our booth on saturday... and it made the day special.
We are only about 1 1/2 hours from the festival site but decided to stay at the Days Inn to have a more relaxed atmosphere.
Toby, we are on the trail, i think T22 near the transit station. Sounds like you have lovely things. Looking forward to it. Praying this weather report for the next 10 days will change because it looks like the dreaded R word for the weekend. But its early, and weather does change!!! We will stop and see you.
Hi Barbara, we are on the trail, RT44, between King st. and Princess st. I make wood turnings and my wife creates pressed flower pictures. Hoping for good weather!

Sounds like you have the bases covered, Barbara. It's a very casual show; I hope you enjoy it. I will be interested to hear about how things may have changed since the last time I'd been there.
