It's ironic you posted this Chris, last year at this very time going to the show in Austin just before sunup I'm just west of Ozona, TX. Cruising along at 65-70. I look in the west bound lane across the deep median at I see a tractor trailer west bound, then his headlight go out. I continue watching and only see lights on the top of his trailer coming through the median, like slow motion as I started to slow this 18 wheeler comes out of the median into the east bound lane with his tractor facing me and his trailer blocking both lanes.

Did I forget to mention I had just crested a hill with 2 18 wheeler behind me. I stopped about 200 ft from him, threw on my brights to light up the trailer blocking the road along with my flashers. Luckily the trucks behind me saw the trailer lit up and were able to stop in time. This truck came from the west bound lane through the deep median and came to rest in the east bound lane with out flipping over. After all calmed down he blew a tire on the tractor, had no steering ability and walked away without a scratch. His tractor was totaled but his load was in tacked. Someone was watching over me and you. Glad you are ok.

Anyone reading this, please keep posting about your accidents nearly averted, safety tips and advice for all of us whose livelihood depends on being out on the road.

Thanks to everyone who has added their thoughts. Geez, R.C., can't imagine how you got through that one. Kevin, your quick thinking surely saved lives besides your own.

Chris, all I can say is WOW. You are blessed to be alive and well, walking away from the accident. In your video, you mentioned you are not done here on earth & it wasn't your time. You are right. God is not done with you yet!

Karen and I are glad to see you are still alive. Yes God has more work for you down here on earth. We want to see more of your incredible photography.

Thanks all. I've been good and I've been lucky - looks like lucky is better so far.
