  • Nels, you must have known I was working on this... the announcements have been made. Stay tuned for a special award for you.

  • Cheez-Louise Connie, if you need help I can send Bill the Cat and Webbie to help you count.

  • While Connie uses her abacus to tally the count (thank heavens the Florida vote for What's his Name?.....how could I forget, we had TWO of them!.....let's not get into politics here) we could discuss pasties, Nels.

Historically, my burlesque pal, Kitty Kat, tells me they are a modesty device. Now number one, I do have friend who is a stripper named Kitty Kat and two, that's what she told me. Just to add to this truthful tale, I have been to where she works and YES, the manager asked me if I wanted a job. I politely declined.

But, gee, they have cool outfits! For the 7 minutes they get to wear them....LOL. Every gal should watch a show, in my opinion: if only to take it home for private moments.

Nels, you are a sweetie! You can have my vote, my opinion, my smile and you got my laugh. But only one guy gets my pasties!

  • If Linda will shed her 'pasties"  I will vote her for anything she wants.

  • Great song, Linda. Thanks for the story. I am still tabulating all the votes -- hope to have them ready in the next 48 hours.

  • You know I once wore pasties....OOOps, wrong discussion!

Honestly, how can a relatively naive former ex-everything compete against two racing raconteurs like Nels and Barry.

I do have a mischievous Maltese to rival Munks capricious cat. Willow was destined for a lady in New York who already had a fur coat made for him. LOL I was going out with a friend to look at a new puppy for her when the breeder waylayed me as I entered. "Hold this puppy for me won't you? The phone is ringing."

He gazed loving up at me, this pound of pure white fluff, snuggled into my arms......it was love. After I was hooked though she had demands: three interviews (including all family members WITH a questionairre), training sessions for me with tests and (OH! YES!) $5,000. ALL so I could rescue my dog from NY, NY!!!!!

Was Willow worth it? Every minute of every day. I can see why the concubines kept one up their sleeve in ancient China:unconditional love.

Which brings me back to this Personality Award. Just to be on the list is such an honor. Thank you ALL!

This website is exploding with lively wits, the interplay of intelligences, tales of true experiences, a bastion of civility, creative genius, artistic temperments..........well, it's "right brain" heaven. If I had a song for AFI, it would be Jerry Lee Lewis's "A Whole Lot A Shakin' Goin' On".

  • Wait a minute!  If you're throwing pasties throw them at me!!  I love a good pasty.  Of course if they're not good I will join you in the Annual Pasty Hurl!

  • Connie, I missed my calling. I should have owned parking lots. It was the easiest money I ever made. People were throwing $5 bills at me all day.  Since it was the first annual "Barry Bernstein Invitational Art Fair" I may have to invite a few people to set up next to me.  Nels, you will be happy to know that you can get smoked fish at Thills Fish Market or fresh Lake Superior whitefish and lake trout less than 2 minutes walking distance from your booth and pasties, if you have to, are a half a block up the street. We could have that pasty throwing contest that you always talk about, but, we would have to change the name from "art fair" to "arts festival."

  • That Barry has all the corners covered up there in the UP.  Next year he will be selling smoked fish and day-old pasties.  If Webbie shows, he will wipe you out in one serving--Aloha, Barry.  You are a true personality.  Lloyd Price even sang a song about you.
