Call for Artists, Making Money at Juried Art Fairs, Craft Shows and Festivals

Website Checkup - 2 pm ET

Web designer Franklin Piuck and ArtFairInsiders.com will be hosting a ZOOM webinar on Tues., May 5 at 2 pm ET. The topic of discussion will be critiquing websites and answering artists questions about web design, SEO and all the attendant options.

If you haven't participated in a ZOOM meeting yet, it is a visual meeting, like Facetime or Skype, where you click into the site and appear on screen. We can see one another and chat about the topic. You must contact Frank ahead of time with your interest in participating so he can add you to the invitation list.

1. Contact Frank: fpiuck@cyberhenge.com

2. If you are interested in adding your site to the critique also alert him to that and send him the link.

There is a limit to the number of participants. We have room for 25 more at this time.

I signed up early enough to get feedback on my website. I found his critique very helpful. I am making the changes he recommends - smaller file sizes for my images so they load more quickly, changing configurations in design and, very importantly, whittling down the number of offerings per category [necklaces, earrings, etc.]. 200 per page is too many.

Thank you for setting this up, Connie.

VERY helpful and interesting - thank you so much!

One of the most interesting things I learned was about creating titles for photographs, a powerful tool for being found by search engines. This is text that is hidden on the website, but still indexed by Google.

It helped to me to think about this in terms of the words "keywords" and "tags." You want to use as many highly specific tags/keywords as possible in order to distinguish your work from others' and increase your chances of being found.

Really enjoyed these events - thanks so much, Frank and Connie!

We just spent 2 hours answering questions and looking at websites. I hope it was helpful to many. I apologize to all for tech challenges moderating this webinar. Next time I'll be ready. Thanks to Frank for his time and expertise. He has put a lot of time with us at Art Fair Insiders over the last two weeks, donated time. He is not an advertiser with us. I hope listeners for both the two podcasts and the Zoom webinar will seek out his help if they have questions about their websites. Reciprocity is a good thing.
