So any, and all comments, opinions ,etc would be very informative, and greatly appreciated by all who are members here.We have heard from a few friends that they did well; but the more imput the better. Thanks - safe travels ,and stay well

This has been posted before by others- as we are asked for donations all the time; one may want to keep this article in mind. There is no tax benefits for the artist; pieces are usually sold for pennies on the dollar with no reserve minimums, and it is rare to get any business afterward- and if so the prospective buyer wants an unreal deal (like at the auction). Read on, and protect yourself.

Barry lost his life this past Friday in a auto accident on I-95- traveling to an art festival. Over the past 20 plus years we have been great art fair friends. His acrylic sculptures were highly admired, and always top notch- he too was a perfectionist. He was always a joy to have as a neighbor. We had recently figured out a summer schedule- which included using our N.J. home as a staging point. I know he would have been really upset if another friend had lost their life, because of tire or…

We checked into the hotel on Fri., flipped on the tv for the weather and there was a tv ad on the local Fox station; I had a comp. copy of the washington post and there was ahalf page ad. Feeling good we went to the site and saw tons of signage on the way. A first year show, fit our northern bound schedule, we have done fine in previous Paragon events, so here we were at this town center that was packed with people Fri. night. We also saw a CNN ad for the show when we returned…

" Florida Senate Bill 1246, introduced in February, would make it a first-degree felony to take a picture of any farmland, even from the side of the road, without written permission of the land's owner."
This is the same penalty as if you shot someone with a gun :: I am so proud of my state and it's wise decisions; including the elimination of sports, art,& music in our school system.
If I was a photographer I wouldn't care about a can of worms-- I would…

A post by Wendy Rosen yesterday identified VIZ art glass as flooding America with artists copies: Google Viz--Alibaba.com arrives which is everything from China. Antitrust, and copyright lawsuits are being filed as we speak.. BUT IT IS UP TO THE GALLERY OWNERS AND ART FAIR DIRECTORS TO ALSO HELP STOP THIS RIP-OFF;; JUST SAY NO;;SIMPLE--AND A BOOTH SLIDE WON'T STOP THIS- THE ONLY WAY THE BOOTH SLIDE WORKS IS IF THE PERSON IS KNOWLEDGABLE -NOT AN OVEREMPOWERED VOLUNTEER-

WHY OH WHY would anyone schedule an Art Fest on Yom Kippur/ this is like having a show on Christmas Day. Nancy and her crew did a great job in getting everyone in,(I escaped quickly); they kept us nurished in the heat, and were very attentive to artists needs. They deal with what the city hands them, dates included. Even though this is the 4th year for this resureccted show(???)- THE QUALITY OF THE ARTISTS WAS OUTSTANDING// FROM ALL OVER THE U.S.
Now the bad- a previous post sited $50…
