I would greatly appreciate any info that you could provide.

Vandals Hit Magic City Art Connection, Birmingham, Al.

I did the Magic city show this weekend . Sales very poor and Sunday non existent because of rain. So glad I and many others left before the pouring rain hit at about Noon. Funny, The city called the show early on but the event did not.I was back home in Atlanta just before that hard rain came in.

Vandals, came through on Friday night and hit two inside rows of tents on both sides of the park. They put 6 inch cuts on the sides of many tents. I was so thankful that I escaped any of this…

Artisphere, Greenville SC Show -I called the Director

Posted on December 19, 2012 at 8:42pm 5 Comments

After all the discussion about some feed back for our app fees, I decided to call Liz Smith the director of Artisphere Show ( of which I was not accepted into for the 2nd year)

I wanted to get additional info as to scores , how many accepted per category, etc.

I must say that Liz was very forthcoming as we talked for about 45 minutes. She told me that 854 applied for 120 spaces of which 13 went to last years winners. There were 88 that applied in my category with 13 accepted…

Hi, Virginia.

The mesh panels were made from Textilene #80 fabric. It comes 61" wide. You can get it from your local awning company or search for it on the internet. If you can't sew the edges, an awning company can do it and place grommets or eyelets around the perimeter. It's a great fabric and very tough. I used 3/4 inch rigid conduit for the "stay bars." You can drill through the conduit and tent legs and secure with a nut and bolt, or use conduit straps to secure the conduit to the legs. I recently cut my conduit into 5' lengths and once I hung them with plastic tie wraps I used conduit connectors to connect them. I also use tie wraps to secure the fabric to the conduit and the tent legs. You may be able to see how I configured it below. Hope this helps.

Virginia, I forgot how much I paid per yard for the fabric, but I'm sure you can Google and find a provider. I do remember with everything included, conduit, etc it was a fraction of the cost for Flourish mesh panels.
