I’ve done a few small art/craft fairs in the past, but have picked it up post-Covid and have scheduled 6 this summer!
What are the best things about art fairs
People are able to see your product “in person”, see how it makes them feel, or how it looks on them, and imagine owning it.
Best show ever and why
Right before Christmas. I had several custom orders and sales were good. People were very appreciative of us being there when it was cold and using safety precautions.
Worst show ever and why
My first “outdoor” show! The wind broke my canopy (we fixed it with posts and bungee cords). The wind knocking over my displays and then it rained. But sales were OK and I learned a LOT! Also bought a more substantial canopy.
Who referred you to ArtFairInsiders.com? Please be specific.
I’ve been getting your emails for years, in hopes of one day being ready for a juried show. Not quite there yet.
What is one fun fact about yourself?
I am retired and, happily, busier than ever doing what I love!
I taught myself wire-wrapping during the Covid lockdown and have become very proficient with it, as well as with my fused glass art.
