I have 12 black gridwalls for sale. 6 of them are brand new - still in the shipping box. The other 6 were used probably 3 times and they have legs. Also have about forty 1" grid wall hooks. I just…Continue

"These are wonderful quotes. Needed for me right now because I moved back to Illinois last year during the pandemic and I feel disconnected. I moved to be near my daughter and new grandson. However, I'm having trouble getting established in art…"

Susi Schuele replied to Chris Umhoefer's discussion Amdur Productions festivals. Are they worth it?
"I have done 2 Amdur productions. I didn't have any success with either but I don't think it was due to Amdur.  They are very organized, offer tons of support for the artists and I think many do well.  The first one I did was in…"

Susi Schuele replied to Linnea Lahlum's discussion Making acrylic craft paint more permanent on painted wood?
"I have painted a lot of furniture and currently use wood panels as my substrate. You will need to make sure your piece is sanded or stripped thoroughly for it to work well. Chalk paint might adhere better. Spray paint will also chip off of an oil…"

What are the best things about art fairs
Viewing all of the creativity. Talking about what you do. Showing off your best stuff ;) Meeting new friends. Learning about new processes from other artists.
Best show ever and why
One of a Kind Spring Show. The venue is fabulous and this show is very well organized. Sales were good and I met a lot of people who became collectors as well as new friends and business contacts. There is so much to take in from the food court to presentations to the fine art gallery. Thoroughly enjoyed everything about this show even with its heavy expense.
Worst show ever and why
MPTV Holiday Art & Gift Show - 2016 - Venue was HORRIBLE (warehouse in a commercial area), advertising was lacking - more of a craft show with aprons and jewelry than fine art. It was billed to be just that but fell very short.
Who referred you to Please be specific.

What is one fun fact about yourself?
I'm a redhead with blue eyes... only 1% of the world's poplulation meets that criteria. I love to title my art with classic rock songs. I consider myself to be fun, quirky and I am in love with COLOR. I'm also a revolutionary in the art world creating abstract art with colored stain on wood. Plus a little hidden rainbow in my hair to keep life fun.
