I'm trying to think of some kind of hanging system; it doesn't have to be heavy weight or huge. I have a few framed tapestries I'd like to hang in my display tent, but maybe my handwoven purses too,…Continue

I'm interested in finding, if they exist, good battery-operated spot lights or lamps to light my displays; I find I can't always rely on electrical wiring, especially at one show coming up. Any…Continue

I need to buy my first craft tent and could use advise. I work alone, so it's got to be really easy to put up. Also, I don't do a whole lot of shows, so not sure how much I need to invest, or whether…Continue

I'm looking at 2 tents on hutshop.com. Either the EZ up encore 2 Ior the display hut. One has aluminum legs, the other steel. For this year I'm going to ask the husband to devise a weight system. I'm starting to have a tough time with the finacial outlay. I think I will apply to Sag Harbor. Maybe skip Center Moriches. If you were going to do both days in the Harbor, I was going to suggest staying at my house. It's "only" a little over an hour for you, but I know how exhausting it is at the end of a long day.
Also check out http://www.akentertainment.info/ The shows are not juried. She has one at a vineyard in Southold that might interest you.
Hey Sandra!!
Thanks for the friend request!! Accepted!! Have a good Day!
The downside to jewelry is that there are so many of us. So I try to have designs that are different or simply practical and affordable. At times I

also I sent you a friend request - it's the only way to have convos that aren't posted for the whol world to see
I haven't done either before, but have heard that WHB is good. I like to do some of the local shows because it helps to build a local following. Also its great to see a familiar face when friends and family visit!
I'm in Southampton. I teach in East Patchogue. I looked for the Sag Harbor show a few weeks ago, but it wasn't posted yet. Just double-checked the app - no photos??? You definitely will need a tent and weights. It can get windy in the harbor. I heard mixed reviews last year. But I'm considering it. The Setauket fair is the same weekend as Sag Harbor. I chose it over SH last year because of expenses. This year I'm trying to step up my game. Preparing for my second career after retirement in a few years.
I applied for Westhampton the first weekend in June and I'll be in Hampton Bays at the end of the month. I'm considering applying to some of Paragon's shows on the Island but need a tent and a better booth shot first. I used a market umbrella for my local shows last year. Pretty amateurish - but it worked.
It's great to see another Long Islander on here!
Have you ever exhibited at the Caroline Church's summer fair in Setauket? That was my first, but I 'm not sure if I'm going back this year. I've already commited to the rest of June and may need some down time.
