It's already 110 here in Gilbert, AZ so, I had to set this up very early to not get too much light. Not sure which pic I like best and open to any feedback. In the first pic on the right back…Continue

There was an option to set up on Thursday night from 6-7, check in was easy and I was able to park next to my space to unload. Set up was a breeze, although those with RV's had a hard time getting…Continue

This was my first time doing this show, so it was definitely a learning experience. It's located right by ASU on Mill Ave, a popular college hangout. Load in was Thursday night between 9pm and 9am Friday. Load in wasn't too bad other than the trailer a few cars in front of me falling into a small ditch with the construction going on in the area. Once I got thru I was able to park right by my tent, so unloading was pretty easy and the horrible techno music that was blaring from one of the…

This was my first large show and what an experience. Thursday night was early set up, went pretty smooth except for the pick up truck that decided to block the path to exit. Other than that it was pretty easy. I was a little disappointed in the quality of the vendors. Of course there was buy/sell but even the hand made items were very "swap mart" like, for instance there was a booth selling marshmallow guns. Friday was the first day, it was a high of 64, that's cold for us near Phoenix. The…

I went to see the Tempe Festival of the Arts this weekend. I went on Saturday (2nd day) afternoon and went into a painters booth and she had several works on her walls with a large sign marked sold. Her paintings ranged from $3,000-$8,000. My wife didn't think she may have actually sold them but put a sign up to get people talking and yes I saw people wispering about the sold signs. Now I don't think any artist would mark a painting sold if it wasn't really sold but my wife thinks people may…

This sounds like an opportunity too good to be true and well you know what they say about that. It sounds like an amazing event for artists but when you look at their website there isn't that many artists, compared to what their saying. Does anyone know anything about this? Is it just another scam taking advantage of artists or is it a genuine opportunity?

what kind of work do you do? do you have a few pics? we are in the presido with a large foot traffic count. We get travelors from all over the world. I only have room for a few more artists. My permanent artists (those with a one year contract) I charge 175 per month + 15 per cent commission. The artist usually makes a lot more under that plan. If I really like someones work but have questions if I could sell them, I go 40-60.............I take more risk but make a lot more. we are open 7 days a week except on Christmas. Artist friendly and two artists< my wife and I are the owners and sales people.
Happy Birthday Brian. Hope this year is your best year ever.
