Anyone have review for Rio Grande HOLIDAY Art&Crafts Fair in Albuquerque NM? I'm thinking about applying. Thanks for any input.

  • 6 years ago I did the Rio Grande shows durign the balloon fiesta. First year, I did the first show of 2 on 2 consecutive weekends, did ok. The next year did both weekends, did fair the first weekend, nothing the second. The last year I did first weekend only (if memory serves) and barely made my booth fee, so my sales experience was mixed. Setup is inside a large tent, fairly easy access for dollying in; teardown was easy enough. Held in what is otherwise a parking lot for a casino. As I recall best selling price range is $75 to $350, my work now is above that price range. For me it was my first 'out of state' art show, so a far enough drive that I really thought through how to load the truck, which pieces to take, etc. Now I pass by the show location several times a year on the way to Carefree Arizona, or La Quinta California. Be careful in Albuqueque, the area has a very high incidence of car thefts, or at least it did a few years ago.

My $0.02: apply. It is not that far (I am in Denver) and you can do the drive in one long day.
