Portable secure display

I would like to build a counter top jewelry display of glass or plexiglass which could be easily assembled and disassembled for transport.  I saw one a few years ago which used right angle clips into which panels of glass or plexiglass could be inserted to form a box.  However, I have not been able to locate this type of hardware. Does anyone know where this could be purchased, or if there are any kits available to build such boxes?  I have limited space to transport everything, so I need to find/make something which is compact to transport, yet will limit access to customers with "sticky fingers". I am mainly interested in protecting small items such as rings and bracelets, so the box does not need too big.

  • Are you looking for tempered glass cases?  you buy the size glass you want and then attach them with metal angle connectors.  Here's one example source http://www.buystorefixtures.com/glassdisplaysaccessories/

    • Thank you. Kim.  I actually found something else similar on line, and I  ordered some lucite connectors which do the same thing.  I am going to try to get glass or plexiglas locally because shipping costs are more that the price of the products.  If the lucite looks lousy I'll try the site you suggested for the metal connectors, because they are priced a little better than the site that I found.

      • oh I've never seen lucite connectors - I'd prefer them because I feel like the metal ones stand out too much.  may I ask where you sourced yours?

        • Actually I was incorrect, they are Lexan, not lucite.

The company is called "grand + benedicts". I don't recall the exact name of the website, as it is not listed on their invoice, but I think it was g+b.com.  Their phone # is 800-547-7005 or 503-232-1988.

    • Thanks, Larry.  However, the 1st 3 are beyond my budget and the last 2 do not appear to be knock-down. I'm hoping my husband can construct something form me.  I am reluctant to invest too much, as due to my health this could be my last year doing shows....I have to see how I survive the ones I'm committed to doing this year.
