Hello everyone!

I am new to this site and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Shannon and this year has been my first year as a vendor. I was previously laid off from my office job, and I thought it was a perfect opportunity to pursue my passion.

I currently have been only doing small shows around Oregon, and am currently attending my local farmers market on the weekend. I would love to step up my game, and start applying to the larger shows on the West coast.

If you are interested, you can see some of my work on my website: https://www.shannoneatonart.com/

I am also open to any constructive criticism for my website.. As I haven't made any online sales yet, but have passed out plenty of business cards. Ha!

Thank you again and I look forward to being apart of your community.

The web site is respectable.  I suggest that you have an introductory paragraph for the Chakra series and Inktober, explaining the names.  By the way, the Chakra page is also showing works from the other two series.  I think you should remove them, and have less on the page.  Too much art on one page can overwhelm a visitor.

Eventually, I think you should indicate which items are available for on-line purchase in the galleries themselves.  I always find it confusing when I see a site with galleries and a store, which is really another gallery.

I don't know if Squarespace lends itself to it, but when I design an e-commerce site, every gallery image opens to a one product page with all the information about the product (in your case work of art) and an add to cart button.  If there are multiple versions of the product available, the add to cart button may have pull down menu for the buyer to select the specific variation desired.

    • Hello Franklin,

I appreciate your feedback, and I will get right to fixing the issues. I agree with you, it needs some streamline.

      Thank you!

  • I live in Oregon, I am a full time artist and do about 15 to 17 shows a year.

Here is a link to a Facebook page for Oregon and Washington artist. Called West Coast artists and artians

    • Hello Robbie.

Thank you so much! This will come in handy!

  • Welcome.

If you are making what you sell, you're not a vendor. You're an artist or craftsperson.
