Heading out of state

So, I've been doing shows in my home state (Iowa) for 2 years now. I make one-of-a-kind jewelry out of fused glass and wire work.

I am hoping to start doing shows out of state this coming year. I have my first one in January in Florida and have been rejected from a few others. I have my list of ones I'm planning on applying to, but I would love to hear your thoughts as to ones I should check out (or avoid!). I've been doing a lot of research and such, but it's so hard to narrow it down!

I realize everyone has different experiences and mediums, but hopefully this will give me some new direction or a new starting point!

I haven't filled in much for the last few months of 2020 and I did apply to and get rejected from a few shows not listed here. I also got accepted to Estero Fine Arts Show in January in FL

      • You obviously don't mind driving a lot - LOL.  Looks like a good selection - I hope you get into them!

        • LOL Nope, I don't really mind it! And thank you!

  • Look at ArtFairReview, Art Fair Source Book.

To ask what shows to do, over the entire country would be overwhelming.

    • I have been. And as I said, I do have a list. I've been using Zapp, this site, ArtFairReview and whatever else I can find to research whenever I find one that sounds like it could be a good fit.

I just wanted to get an idea of what shows are the first that come to mind to people. Their favorites (or least favorites).

      • You did not mention AFSB. It is very well researched and comprehensive.
