  • Hi Ruth! I did the show last year. I was in town teaching at Beadfest Texas and figured it would be a good "two-fer". It's a C show to me-- low volume and entry level buying public. I wouldn't go too far out of my way to incorporate it into my schedule. Really nice folks running it, great treatment of artists, but flat feeling with no buying energy either. I thought this was more of family area with soccer games and softball/baseball. With some strong advertising it could be great, TX has lots of well employed folks-- but just not there as of last year.

  • We did this the first or second year of the show (I can't remember), and we didn't go back to it. We even won first place in our category, which awarded us a free booth next year, and didn't return. It just didn't seem like the community of people interested in fine art. It's corporate America. We stayed at Aloft Hotel and loved that place, though.
