I have a Trimline, stabars, plenty of weight, can't think of much else to add other than the straps to keep the tent from popping into my pottery shelves.

I want white straps. Not sure how everyone is attaching them, how long they should be (tent is 9 feet usually) and where the best place to find them might be. I'm over on Amazon looking right now.

Also open to any other suggestions.

Thanks! (I have been wandering through all the other posts on here, didn't see anything specific on the straps...maybe because for most it's common sense and you just popped down to Home Depot or Lowes :-) )

zipping up old caravan tenthttps://www.artfairinsiders.com/forum/topics/zipping-up-old-caravan-tent-12011-05-30T05:31:34.000Z2011-05-30T05:31:34.000Zdeborah potash brodiehttps://www.artfairinsiders.com/members/deborahpotashbrodie

we thank our wonderful pottery friend for giving us her caravan tent. today we took it outside and put it together. our problem -- by the time we zipped all the sides together, we lost inches so that we couldn't close the 'door' zipper (kinda like a pair of jeans 2 sizes too small - LOL). there must be a methodology on putting up velcro sides, zipping so that the old product of having the front door zipped close would also work.

please guide us! thanks!

I have a Light Dome canopy. I need to buy some mesh panels. Most of what I've seen are white, but I've seen that you can special order colors. Creative Energies offers color at no extra cost (black or grey). I would like some advice from you professionals. Since I have work to hang would grey look more professional than white? As I grow in this market I will eventually get panels and grey would most likely be the color.

My art is wood working so the color of my art varies from white (basswood) to dark (mahogany). Some of my work does have some color (highlights with oil stains). I'm thinking something other than white would give a more professonal look. The stands I'm using for my sculptures are black. I was thinking grey would be a nice highlight and make the stands and art pop instead of just blending in or being against a white background.

I am a Newbie had just set up my Brand New Ez-Up before my very first show to practice!

Tightening the walls the zippers seperated from the material at the closures, as did the velcro tie downs, creating first tiny holes, then literarily tearing 4 inches ito the sidewalls, as the winds picked up to maybe 20mph with gusts.

Yes, I made cement/packed with iron weights, cut off 5 Gallons buckets @ 4,

each weighing 45-50 pounds ~ reading ALL the weather related horrow stories on this forum.

I called Hut-Shop to report the incident and was told that the fabric is ONLY tested to withstand15mph winds, therefore not under warranty.

The Tent was reinforced with Staybars and 3 Mesh Panels from Creative Energies Inc.

My Question to You old Timers, please: Thinking that the weights are the Big issue, what are YOU folks doing in winds 15-20 mph and above??

I bought the "EncoreII EZ-UP", left it overnight with artwork hanging (as in 3 day shows).

Hut-shop told me to take tent down when the wind blows .

Very confused about the mph WINDS.
