The two differnet widths cost the exact same, so it's not like it's any cheaper. Is there a benifit to having these slightly different sized panels that I'm just not familiar with?

I am in the market for either a set of used pro panels, or if it comes to it, purchasing new directly from pro panels (if I cannot find a suitable used set by my show coming up in May).

Thanks in advance!

Neptune Festival Inventory For Beginnerhttps://www.artfairinsiders.com/forum/topics/neptune-festival-inventory-for-beginner2021-07-19T11:17:24.000Z2021-07-19T11:17:24.000ZJeremy Gibsonhttps://www.artfairinsiders.com/members/JeremyGibson

Good morning all,

I was accepted into the Neptune Festival in September as an awards-eligible exhibitor, but as this is my first art show, I am a little overwhelmed as to what to expect in terms of inventory needed on hand. I see that the awards-eligibility restricts my numbered prints to 250 per, not that it should be an issue!

What I am looking at in particular is if it's better to take more unique photos and a lesser quantity of papers for each, or, do I do the opposite and take less unique photos and more papers of each? And with that in mind, anyone who has done this festival or one of similar scope in the past, what was your weekend sales like? I intend to do 8x10; 11x14; 12x18 paper prints plus metals and acrylics of different images.

If you have any other tips, please feel free to throw them out there, too! I'd appreciate any insight provided.

Thanks so much, everybody!

I have no idea how long it may have been this way.

Trying to get in touch with KD, but they are in a later time zone.

Has anyone else ever noticed this on their canopy top, and if so, what did you do? This is a first for me.

I guess it's duck tape for now?

Thanks.

I do colored pencil drawings and would like to display them without glass. What would be best to seal them with? I spray them with a drawing fixative now to prevent the wax bloom, but need something more substantial for finished framing and display. Obviously I'd like to find something that isn't going to yellow.

I've read of people using an acrylic sealant. Is there a specific kind for drawings or can I use something like polycrylic? I've also heard of using varnish, do you know what kind?

Should I be nervous about applying to a show that was just listed in Call For Artists and the show date is very soon?

I worry that it is a first time show or there is something questionable about the event. But, then I might be just overthinking the "why are the still seeking exhibitors" factor.

If you have any input...I would love to hear it.

I am trying to fill some empty spots in my calendar...and am so curious if I should just "bite the bullet" and try some of these shows.

Thanks, Cheryl

1400-713170a.jpg
