Includes the standard charging cable (small brick in image) and the Yeti X 600W Power Supply charging cable that sales for $199.00. I connected the standard cable while at home and during long periods of no use. The Yeti X 600W traveled with me because it would recharge power station very fast. I'm looking into pure sine wave inverters but that can cost $1,000+ (Yikes). If I do go that route, I have no idea how to recharge the sine wave converter and corresponding battery overnight. Is there a more affordable 'conventional' battery anyone can recommend? My lights have fans to cool them so they do use a good amount of power. Also, many shows I attend do not allow gas generators so that is not an option.

Any recommendations?
A neighbor at this past weekend's show shared with me her new River Battery that she uses for her LED lighting setup. This was her first time using it so she could not give me a full review. Anyone out there using this device with a bit more experience for a solid review?

She bought in during the Indiegogo campaign at $459-$499. It now runs about $599-$699.

At 11 pounds, this would be nice to carry around rather than the ole' marine battery.

Many thanks.

I did see where someone had advised to use a 500 watt Portable Power Station. I looked at Lowe's today & I am confused. It said 750 Amp & upon reading the internal papers it said it could only pull 200 watts continuously. I plan to use 6 LED lights with comparable 60 watts each. Please help me understand what I need.

I have an iPhone 5 that I use to accept credit cards (I use PayPal Here with Square as a back-up). I am considering getting one of those cases with a built in battery for doing shows. I’m usually outside without electricity and don’t want to miss a sale due to not having any battery power. The problem is that most of those cases don’t seem to give enough access to the headphone jack to plug in a card reader.

Has anyone else tried a battery case or some kind of extension jack with the card reader? What would you recommend.

Thanks,

Many of the shows I do prohibit generators, so I'm looking at a battery-operated solution.

At recent shows, I've seen exhibitors using both CFLs and LEDs. If any of you are willing to share details about your set up, I would really appreciate it because I am not at all technically astute when it comes to this sort of thing. I want to purchase a set up once and (hopefully) not make any costly mistakes along the way. I can haul a deep cycle marine battery & inverter if that's what it takes, but if anyone has a lighter and less bulky set up that offers about 5 hours of life each day, I'd be interested in hearing more.

Thanks,

Here's the setup that I pulled together.

Inverter - Wagan 1000 Watt Continuous Power Inverter Model 2294 1yr warranty

From Home Depot

EcoSmart 18-watt LED Flood E* Model # ECS 30 V2 WW FL 120 Internet # 202670523

Store SKU #406027 Equivalent to 90 watt flood 3000 degrees Kelvin 5 year warranty

With this setup I am running 6 lamps in black swing arms from Flourish. I tested this setup and am able run in excess of 10 hrs, actually got to 12 hrs before I shut the system down.

The inverter and charger are much larger than you might need but I wanted something that was robust. Charge time runs 5-8 hours after I have run the battery to the 50% point indicator on the charger. The inverter is much more than needed but I wanted to run it at less than rated capacity to help keep heat down. I put the battery under my ProPanel work table and there isn't a heat issue.

After the first two shows I took a piece of 1x12 pine board, added casters/rope pull and strap the battery to it so that I can pull it in and out of the show for charging in the evening. Left room to put my cooler on it.

It is HEAVY, something like 70# or so and keep that in mind as you are taking it into and out of your vehicle for charging back at the hotel or wherever.

The Rockford Art Guild, of which I'm now president, has 20 knockdown ProPanels and I have 11 that I offer for use for our shows. The panels are great, they allow us to do a show just about anywhere, however, the lighting is often very poor, and we don't have the luxury of nearby electrical outlets. Some spaces have too much traffic to have cords strung, even when taped to the floor.

Does anyone know of small battery powered lights that could be clipped on to the top of the panels and would throw enough light for several hours during a show's opening reception? I've tried all kinds of cheapie clamp lamps, but they don't provide enough light to make a difference.

Any suggestions that are relatively inexpensive and very portable?

Ultrabeam Clip-On LED Light from B&H Photo is $19.99, but has a poor review. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/528976-REG/Odyssey_Innovative_Designs_ULTRABEAM.html

Suggestions appreciated.
