The track lighting I currently have is not sufficient for properly lighting the booth (outside tent, Flourish canopy, gray propanels). Any suggestions on lighting options? I'm basically looking for the strongest lighting that is compatible with the portable power station. And any other suggestions are very welcome. Thank you in advance!

Merideth

Display for Salehttps://www.artfairinsiders.com/forum/topics/display-for-sale2021-06-28T14:47:56.000Z2021-06-28T14:47:56.000ZEllen Cohenhttps://www.artfairinsiders.com/members/EllenCohen

Well made custom made cases for sale.

I have a set of 10 light grey knock down panels I'd like to sell. They are the 30" width and have standard (not telescoping) legs. They come with the hardware pegs and new leather connectors. These panels have been around a long time but I really don't use them much any more. They are still in pretty good shape. They have always been stored indoors. Some of the panels may have a few mar spots but nothing too serious. No rips or tears. I also have some 2ft. light grey panel extensions to sell, 6 of them are the 38" width and 4 of them are the 30" width. They also come with the connecting hardware pegs.

I'm asking $60 per 6ft. knock down panel set (2 pieces) or $500 for all of them.

10) panel extensions- $35 ea. (either size)

Used but not abused. Has served us well for about eight years. Since I'm now 72, my wife's 62 and we need to get something easier for us, we've got to part company. It's got two deep awnings and a corner piece, but only one set of awning brackets (the other broke last year). There's zippers on all four sides of the top, a rear canvas extension with poles, and stabilizer bars. One foot has been slightly damaged and one of the Velcro wraps for the top has broken, but all the corner snaps are good.

I am excited to report I have some new equipment that should make photographing our coasters, trivets and plaques easier. We got a new to us Olympus E-510 & a light box with 2 lights & 4 different colored backgrounds (black, white, blue, red). The light box came with a tripod but it did not work with our camera for this setting.

Dh, a hobbyist photographer set it up for me. He worked with the setting to get the photos I am showing here. We used the remote control to take the photos. We tried it with the lights outside the box to get a diffused light. Then we tried it with the lights inside the front of the box, which is how we took the photos included here.

I needed only a slight crop for each photo. I did not use any other retouching or alterations on the photos. Well, one photo was slightly skewed so I straightened it.

1719 I-P-Blue.jpg

1506 I-SS-Blk.jpg

2715 S-D-Brn.jpg

I Am Learninghttps://www.artfairinsiders.com/forum/topics/i-am-learning2015-02-15T03:48:11.000Z2015-02-15T03:48:11.000ZCindy Welchhttps://www.artfairinsiders.com/members/CindyWelch

I have read hear about photography and how to make photos better. I used to think, till today, that using natural light could not really make a big difference. That is till I took some photos of inventory for my square reader inventory program.

I had been using my SLR with a flash and thought it was pretty good. Then this morning--to prove to myself that it was not a big game changer--I tried photos on a desk in front of a big window. I was quite surprised at the improved lighting. Now, I a not a professional, obviously, so if I can see the difference, this is markedly better. I plan on doing all my photos this way now. It has also encouraged me to find out how to use more features of my camera. First though dh has to replace the battery door on the camera. BUT he has to wait till I get through with this batch of photos first ... which is turning out to be a bigger job that I thought.

I had photos of a lot of my work. However I am realizing that I need a totally unique SKU number for each piece every for every change I make .... either a different color tile, different back ground on the piece or different color. Those the most common things to change. It has been a long day working on that and learning about the natural light but I feel better for all the work and learning.

Impact Pop-Up Tent 10x10 w Custom Panal System and Extrashttps://www.artfairinsiders.com/forum/topics/impact-pop-up-tent-10x10-w-custom-panal-system-and-extras2014-04-14T17:06:42.000Z2014-04-14T17:06:42.000ZKathleen Mrachekhttps://www.artfairinsiders.com/members/KathleenMrachek

Art / Vendor Pop-Up Tent 10x10 , white vendor tent with black brown screen sides. Two years ago, when I was researching the best art tent solution, I chose the lightest, sturdiest, easiest to put up/take down and, best value I could find.

The frame pops up easily and has a bigger button, (not a ball tip like Pop Up brand) and has the 1" bottom legs that slide into 1. 14 " top leg ..this adds strength (which is what the Impact brand offered, as well as a grey powder coat finish to avoid scratching and rust). (Many collapsible tents have 3/4" Legs that slide into 1", making them flimsy)

When it came to the Hanging Side System, My builder boyfriend and I carefully engineered the system to be:

1. Light (made with sturdy, 1 1/4" aluminum square tubes)

2. Versatile (for hanging options)

3. Compact ( when folded the cigar-shape is 8" by 5')

4. Allow Air Flow (and reduce tension on tent frame when winds pick up)

5. Look Good ( unlike those white or canvas ones with umpteen straps)

6. Structure -This system uses the weight from the art or pieces to help stabilize and anchor the tent...especially helpful when the weather kicks up By designing the side panel the way we did--made with one, 7' x 30 panel of dark brown poly mesh (like the contemporary sunscreen window shades)-- there is not only less visual distraction ( typical 7 x 10 mesh panals have gaps and oodles of straps), the weight of the paintings/art hanging on the mesh help create extra weight to stablize the tent in wind.

The mesh hangs off of three, (two side and one back) 10' square framing tubes that span and rest on top of the tent legs and have been customized to quickly click into place and secure to the frame. The brown mesh panal, with its riveted aluminum U channel simply slips over the top of the framing tubes. We added three more framing tubes at the bottom for even more stability, and easily cotter pin into place!

In addition, quick adjusting nylon webbing is already attached to the frame to create 4 points of tie downs in the back and two in the front (again more stability). We added another setting to the center pole to make the tent top more taught and ensure that there is little to no pooling of water when it rains.

So why am I selling this ideal, specially designed tent? I'm a bit of a perfectionist...and...I have a new color palette for my work and I need to create a new, display that shows off my work more appropriately. Asking $850 for the whole ideal set up.

1.
