Art Fair Insiders

Call for Artists, Making Money at Juried Art Fairs, Craft Shows and Festivals

I had some of my booth shots critiqued recently and the only real negative was the issue of seeing through my Flourish Mesh Panels. I know that they sell covers, but I really think I can make them myself. Pretty good at that sort of stuff.

I saw one booth in Florida that covered them with gray carpet and it looked nice, but that can be cumbersome to transport. So, I looked at using a gray canvas material and not finding the gray I want. Then, at JoAnn's this weekend, I found a gray felt that looks exactly like the ProPanels gray. If I made sure to use good velcro and made sure that I hooked through the felt to the mesh panel, I think it would be fine.

Has anyone else covered Flourish Mesh Panels? Any advice is welcomed.

A while back I saw a booth that had mesh panels covered with bluish grey colored burlap. Looked really nice.I didn't realize burlap came in different colors.

Good idea. I'll check burlap as well.
