I'm contemplating adding a vinyl banner to the front of my canopy with my business name, location, and website address.  Does any one else do this, or is this tacky?  If you do use a banner or other signage, can you recommend a supplier?

Thanks in advance!

Jackie

  • Jackie,
My main business when not making art is signs and graphics bus. I can help you with this if you like.

  • I have a banner on the outside- I ordered it with my canopy(EZ-Up) and a banner inside, that matches my business cards, website, Road sign, etcetera. I ordered from Vistaprint.com. I also have a baseball cap, t-shirt for summer, long sleeved shirt for fall, Car door magnets, and coffee cup(storage for pens!), pens, Calendar magnet, and post cards and Thank you cards-all done by Vistaprint.( Mostly free or 50% off, too!) They all match my biz cards and website. I have found them to be the best investments I have made in my business. I also purchased one of those coffee travel mugs that you can put a picture into, and put a scanned and enlarged version of my bus. card in. It goes wherever I do, and I get people stopping me to copy my info down! Not tacky at all- a banner is a necessity in an ocean of white tent canopies!

  • We just had a booth sign done with Staples. They send it out to their central copy center. We had it done on vinyl that is weather-proof and guaranteed for 9 months. We looked into Vistaprint but didn't like their templates, ended up designing my own with my pics.

  • I ordered my banner from Vistaprint.com as well, and am really pleased with how it came out. I was able to design it to match my business cards, postcards, and display signs, so the whole booth will have a cohesive look; all with my logo.

I just saw an ad for Canopy Head Bands. Basically it's a band that wraps around your canopy with custom graphics printed on it. It's designed for pop-ups, but may work on other style canopies. The website is Elite Deals. I'm probably going to order one next week.

  • I use one and got it through Vistaprint.com. It is a great site if you haven't used them before. My banner matches my business cards - which I get form them too. They offer a lot with them too. You could even do your own business t-shirt or hat with them too. And they are VERY reasonable. I used them also for promotional postcards - let folks know of upcoming shows I will be at with a coupon good for something off if they come to those shows and shop in my booth. I am attaching a photo of the banner in my booth... Michelle

  • Any decent custom photo lab can print on vinyl with a large format Epson printer. I get them printed at my local lab for about $35 for around a 2x3 foot banner finished with a sleeve for dowel rods for artists to hang in their booth.
Total cost for the three banners in this booth image was around $100:

  • Hello Jacqueline,
I had a vinyl sign made at a local sign shop where I live in Douglas, WY. It is about 6 feet by 1 foot with grommets. I have my business name and tag line that I use on my web site. It was under $20. I use it at indoor and outdoor shows and regular customers say they can always find me. I think it is a great investment.
