Art Fair Insiders

Call for Artists, Making Money at Juried Art Fairs, Craft Shows and Festivals

We just got accepted to the fall show and were a bit overwhelmed with the booth location choices. Is there a prime spot? Do we need electric? Are we just newbies and they are going to put us in newbie row where we should earn our stripes? We thought we would need electric as it is fall and it gets dark early. Peace, Maureen

Electricity is useful, even though it's pricey. Some people like to be inside the park, but for me, the hassles outweigh the location. We were on McKinney street last time, and it was good. Traffic is pretty good in all locations. The end of Bagby is not as much of a loop, but it's an entrance. I think most people walk the entire show anyway, so there really aren't any horrible spots.
