  • Did that show once.  The Anderson Window guys had a better location than I did, which was in a small group of 6 or so artists strung on the bad side of a small pond.  Did Cain Park last weekend instead.  No bonsai trees.  No bead stringers.

  • Nels,

Can you clarify the use of the word "Radioactive"?  What i will agree with you is this: Sadly there seems to be an over abundance of bead stringing jewelry found in all of the art events in our region.  But i strongly suspect this is true nationwide.  And your issue should go right to the jurors and promotion committee of the festival because they are the gatekeepers of the event.  I have several artist friends that do this event and like Genmarie, have wonderful results.  Have you considered sending your feedback to the committee?

  • I love this show and have been exhibiting for 22 years. Yes, there were a few questionable exhibitors that seem status quo these days for most shows.  Overall the show was profitable - face it no show any more is breaking the bank the way they used to.

The problem this year seemed to be the fact that the promoter came around on  Saturday and told us there was a storm coming and to lower our tents.  I loaded my stock into my van came back Sunday early and there was no storm.  Sunday there were clouds and the weather was threatening it never rained. It turned out to be my best sales day.  Many vendors packed up and left. I'm not sure if they left due to the weather or they weren't patient to complete the show. I'm glad I stayed and WILL do the show next year.

The location is great. The venue very nice. Easy load in and out and plenty of help.

No this is not a high end ART fair.  The categories are Fine Art and Fine Craft but it's not radioactive.

  • Thanks for the "heads up", Nels...sounds like you didn't care for it...ha.

  • But how was the load-in?

  • But how do you really feel, Nels? :)
