promoter--colorado events

Trying to get some info on Promoter-ColoradoEvents.org and specifically their Handmade in Colorado Expo (Estes Park in Aug and Boulder in Oct).  They are downtwon Denver in Sept-but not ususally great luck there.

Any past experience?  Comments?

Not finding much when trying to research them. Seems like a great idea in 2 great cities, just curious as to experiences that others have had.

thanks,

  • Thanks, I'll look at this a bit closer. Setup/tear down each day doesn't work for me either. Just looking to fill a last couple of dates before the season comes to an end!

I'll try to post back if I end up doing it and let everyone know how it went.

    thanks,

    Dayna

  • They are a little older than just being a new kid on the block "Colorado Events is a local nonprofit organization that has been producing high quality events since 2002" per their website. They are not really talked about on the regular circuit. For the Estes Park show, you can choose if you want to only display for 1 day or 2. I seem to remember looking at the information a couple of years ago and you needed to setup/breakdown your booth every day. Not realistic for me. To me, the information looks like craft/buy sell and not an art show. One of these years I will have time to checkout one of their shows.

  • Good advice, thanks Richard!

  • I have not done any of their shows, and do not know any artists active in Colorado who have. They are sort of the the "new kid on the block". My gut reaction is they are picking up any open weekend anywhere to sell booth space, and trying to piggy back on some successful shows, i.e. Crested Butte and Estes Park. They have a right to try and make money doing shows, but I view it more of saturating a good market.
