ONB Magic City Art Connection - Birmingham, Alabama

I wanted to let everyone know that I was at the juried ONB Magic City Art Connection in Birmingham, Alabama for the second year, May 23-25,2010. I was there as DebsThreads, a textile artist, who had a good show. There were over 215 artists there. Being a 3 day show, the weather was great on Friday and Sunday, but they cancelled the show on Saturday due to the horrible weather(tornadoes, storms,etc.) . It was a lost day and I know that was hard for all but I thought the Sunday crowds were better than normal, as so often - Sunday crowds are lookers rather buyers. We had a lot of good juried artists but I didn't understand why there were 2 booths that were there, that I didn't felt were not artists and didn't fit. Some people were really upset over this that were nearby. Also, some of the artists that were there had to deal with homeless people sitting on benches near the booths, more a problem this year than last. I know these homeless people are having a difficult time but still it was keeping some people from visiting artists booths.
