  • Oh no, getting stuck on a side street happened to me before, NO GOOD!
  • If you're not on the main drag, sales will be slower. The crowds all seem to think they have to be in the center of the show, so don't get disappointed if you're not in there with them; just try harder to sell to the folks who do wander the back streets. I've been on a back street and didn't do well enough to ever want to come back. But I was coming from Colorado (and was doing a series of shows in FL).

If you have a little extra time, get to Mt. Dora a day early, it's worth exploring the old town.
It's one of the towns in Florida that actually has a bit of history and doesn't look like it was built yesterday.
  • sounds like I should bring my back up set up, which is not as visualy appealing but much easier to level anywhere.
  • It is a very hilly area. Many spaces are not level. Bring something to level out your tent.
  • Thanks for the heads up!
  • It can be a difficult show to load in and out of. Make sure you take a good dolly and some help.
  • I did get in, just had some second thoughts. I applied because it sounded good on zapplication. I am just now getting into the whole art show thing.
Your comment sound encouraging, Thank you,
    Sabine
  • I hear it is a great show to be in. I hope you got in. Unfortunately I did not this year. I will try again.
