iOS7 Upgrade remorse...apparently not just me!

Up daters beware! I unwittingly stumbled into iPhone iOS7! When my phone told me it was available I decided to update not thinking much about it (as in the implications). To my surprise and horror 7 is quite a bit different then 6! So much so, that I dislike it immensely! The screen is too light, the type font too skinny and overall it is not a pleasant experience to use! Additionally, I guess until they update, APPs don't seem to work very well either. I wonder if I can go back to 6? I will at the next opportunity! Apparently I'm not the only one who doesn't like it! Check out the youtube video link below! LOL

Hmmm what does this say about the generation coming up?

Thank goodness I have to be dragged into upgrades. I'll be safe. Thanks for relieving my angst about it upgrading, Brian. Best wishes on downgrading. Maybe you'll just have to go buy an old ios6?

No, the link on the bottom of this post talks about how to.

I luv the new update, the new features on the camera are awesome (the filters and the speed) the access to more features on the lock screen, the additional security if the phone is stolen, the graphics. All of my apps are working fine. If there is a down side it's that it's a very large download and it does use more battery life, but keep background running apps closed and that helps. If you go to you tube and take the apple tutorial I think you'll appreciate all the new features of the download.

So how does it work with Square???  One of the Facebook groups I'm on indicates there are a few issues.  Beware!!

I ran a test with my mobile device and I had no problem.

Works great on iPad. I.don't use iPhone. As for Square, I fired them months ago, so no clue.

square, ipad and the new !OS7.... important: the new system upgrade asks you at some point if you want to turn on the microphone...make sure you do!

if you don't square register will not process any sales, found out the hard way last saturday... and they even tell you in square troubleshooting section.

luckily i only lost a few pennies when i had to key one transaction in and incurred in the higher 3.50% and an extra $0.15. turn the microphone on under settings and you should be good to go.

i don't much like the new interface myself and apart from this little microphone detail, never had any problem with square so far...

I personally love the new interface. You can adjust the text size and brightness in the General Settings area.

Wow...! This cell phone technology Leap Frog race really flies over my head. I have a Samsung Galaxy phone that I bought because of the larger screen than my old phone had... plus the fact that it works with my Square. I am not really sure if it is a !OS7, OS6 or !OS5 or whatever,,,but it has been very dependable. Other than accepting credit cards, I only use it to talk and have no desire to text, send mails, watch the internet of any of the other things it does. I am also a person who still uses a camera to take pictures and not my phone.
