Indoor Wall Space

We are tired of transporting, setting up, taking down, drying out and repacking our tent. I am a painter and am wondering if there are well attended indoor events (juried or not) in which you can rent wall space instead of a tent space?

  • Armadillo Christmas Bazaar in Austin, TX. An 11 day show happening December 14-24, but you have to provide the walls and the lights--and the art, of course! Very few shows don't have some sort of set up required by artists. Booth fees vary since booth sizes vary, and a booth can be over $2,000 easy for Armadillo Bazaar. Austin is a really cool big college town with plenty of night life and music. And it's a great place to see Christmas lights. Apply directly on their website. IT'S NOT ON ZAPP.

  • Forgive me for my idiocy. Lubbock is the West Texas INDOOR show I meant to plug, not Amarillo. Deadline is tomorrow for the April 13-15 Lubbock Arts Festival indoor show and it's on ZAPP.

  • It is easy to refine a search on Zapplication for Indoor shows and also refine your search by region etc. Just use the advanced search feature301686788?profile=RESIZE_320x320

  • Where are you located?

Are you only looking for the big shows or would some smaller ones do?

  • I am actually hosting a 4 week pop up Gallery in Jackson, Mi- space is $17.50 a linear foot - so a 10 foot (80 sq ft) wall is $175 and there is no requirement to be onsite. I will process all sales. You keep 100% of sales, except for any purchase made via credit card then I ask you pay for the 2.7% processing fee. Easy Peasy! Here is the link to the application.

  • There are plenty. Amarillo has an indoor show. Then there's One of A Kind in Chicago. How about Art Basel Miami? Trade shows like that get expensive. But Amarillo is a typical art fair. There's an indoor show in Nashville in the spring. And there are more, fer sher. Well, there's Brookside in Kansas City with part of it in a big tent and the rest outside. You still have to set up your own walls. How about Sausalito? I think they have the tents and the panels already set up and you just bring the art. There are more typical shows that are indoor, though. Especiallhy around the holiday season. There are gobs of them. Someone else might chime in. Good luck!
