I hate rain!!!!!

Lu and I after checking the radar and weather forecast decided to set up our tent and dry it out and clean it from the last show where we got caught in the rain as we were taking down our tent top. We also had a lot of seagull droppings on the top. Just as we were finishing setting up the tent a sudden storm out of nowhere dropped 1/2 inches of rain in 15 minutes. It blew the tent over the top of our trailer and into our garden before we could secure it down by holding on for dear life. Luckily no damage to Lu the tent or the trailer. I just got soaking wet.

  • Worthington Art on the Green has been a good art show over the last few years.  This year...rained most of the day Saturday (your money making day).  Only a few people milling around in the steady downpour.  Sunday was beautiful but with your usual Sunday people out for a stroll and looking around, very few sales...now more rain forecast this week at the Crosby Festival of the Arts.  Seems like you can't win this year.

  • I've set up my tent in the yard numerous times for reasons such as drying it out, cleaning it or for taking new booth photos. I recently bought a new pop-up tent for doing some one day shows and set it up in the yard to check it out. I'm glad I hooked up my weights to it to determine the best way to hook em up because it quickly went from sunny to windy/stormy and rained over 2" that afternoon. Don't hate the rain, hate the fact of the precautions you skipped.

  • been there !!! ruined a tent because I set it up in my yard to dry after a show, then left for the day ..unexpectd storm arose, yeah...tent blew all over the place...frame destroyed !
