Houston Festival Foundation - More Trouble in Texas

We have had some discussions as of late about Bayou City and the problems there.  I came across this info.  I meant to post it before now but I am catching up on my work and so today is the day.

If you click on the link you will learn that the Houston Festival Foundation is now closed and they are filing Chapter 7 bankruptcy.  The Foundation has had to sell all of its assets to pay its bills.  They have no assets anymore.

I don't know if this will affect any of you.  If any of you need to contact them, they are checking general messages for a time.  Their phone number is   940-784-3378.  Here is their email in case you can't get through on the phone:  contactus@ifest.org

  • You don't even want to know how much art and jewelry I still have that I purchased at those shows.  Rendevous Houston was the most amazing show, lasers cutting through the fog in the sky off the rooftops and traffic stopping on the expressways surrounding the city.

  • I know this is not "new" news -- but it makes you wonder. Houston is probably the fastest growing city in the country. It is huge. There is lots of oil money, lots of big corporations. You'd think that in a city like that that they could continue to host this IFest -- it was always an exciting event, especially the "art car" part.

  • That press release was dated June 3, 2014.
