"We'd like to thank you for orchestrating such a "top notch" art fair! You and your staff did a wonderful job! And, you were so right about where the kinetic sculptures should be exhibited ... we had a great location and the crowd of people seemed to really enjoy them. Our sales were awesome ... over $12,000.00!"

  • Ok. Thanks. I have heard amazing things about this show... but twice applied and was rejected so it is not going to even be considered. Friends that are patrons and love Krasl tell me the selection of artists remains the same year to year. And a friend that did that show 12 years in a row told me of the heavily "grandfathered" process of selection.
I think they mean well, but it give an appearance of jury fee fundraising. Sad
  • Barbara, this show has lots of quality applications. It does reinvite around 25% of the artists. The competition is stiff just like many of the top shows. It used to be heavily grandfathered but the policies have changed.

Feel free to contact Corrie at the # above and she will answer this question better.

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but after applying several times to this event and being turned down I learned that very few opportunities exist for new artists to this show. One fellow artist told me basically the only way to get in is if an artist that has showed there dies, or stop showing. My source said that Krasl is said to maintain 85-90% of their same artists each year. Nice you promote this, but a bit unfair disadvantage to the numerous artists who unknowingly pat the jury fee and stand no chance.
