  • I am at least two days driving from the show and considering it but wonder about comments relative to the return (sales) at the show. I'll have probably $1.5K plus into it if I go and wanted to limit liability if I can. My work is western oriented www.fineleatherartwork.com (price points $300 - $3K) so thought it may be a viable show. I'd appreciate any comments, Jay

  • Whoops, Barrie ... I did have the incorrect dates for August. Fixed it now. Thanks for the catch.

  • I did the July show in 2015, 2016 and posted reviews for them. We rented a condo in Wilson for less that motel rates.

  • I did the August show last year. (ended up not be a good show for me) but after an unfortunate accident had to find a quick hotel and I stayed at the Virginian and it was around $150.00 it was decent and it only 1 story so stairs to walk up. You might look into that Barrie.

  • We'd better confirm those August dates you have listed up top here, Connie. I did apply for the August show and I think it's a three day event as well. Zapp says it is August 10-12, and I just looked at the show website and it says the same thing.

Horrible that I'll pay $250 per night in the Motel 6. That's the going rate for any budget property there. We did the show in 2006 and paid $125 per night in that Motel 6. That's what's happened in our world these days. The West is so damned expensive, but prices have doubled on so many things all over the place. That kind of hotel fee makes it almost not worth the risk. So I'm 225 miles from Jackson at my home/studio in Kirby, and expenses are so very high to do that show; about $1,500 before opening the tent for business. YIKES!
