A cautionary Christmas story

I am chained to my easel drawing dogs, grandkids, families, homes and the like to be discovered under my clients' trees, hopefully with much happiness. I promised myself I wouldn't goof around writing my blog until I was done! But I'm a born procrastinator. I hope you have a minute or two to enjoy and I wish you all a wonderful holiday season.

  • Wendy, I don't know how he knocked it down.  I did find a few spots of blood in his fur where something poked him good.  He was young then and probably got caught in the lights or something and pulled back and brought down the tree.  No one was home to see it (lucky for him).

  • Exactly!  I warn every client to look at their artwork, not my beat up house.

  • Been there, done that! Anyone who has pets they love bears the signs. The abused furniture, the stray pet hair you always have somewhere on your clothes, the faint doggy smell you can never fully remove from the car, etc. Other animal lovers see and understand. Who cares about everybody else?

  • Oh no!!!!  How does one little cat pull down a whole tree?  Although he looks like a pretty good sized cat.  I'm really not much of an animal lover, ESPECIALLY when there are stinks and messes everywhere and when they stick their wet cold noses up the skirts of my elderly clients and bark hysterically at anyone within a two block radius.  My husband and my boys are crazy about our dogs and I do love them too, but they drive me nuts.

  • Wendy I laughed so much reading your blog.  Unfortunately I can relate to the smells of animals in the house.  My hubby wondered what I was laughing at so I told him to read your blog, too.  He really laughed as well.  Thanks for a good laugh and it is nice to know we are not the only family who have allowed pets to do their magic in our home.  I just discovered our cat is using one of our favorite chairs as a scratching post!  He may be looking for a new home.  However, if I didn't make him pack his bags after the stunt in the photo below I guess he is here for good.301649202?profile=original
