I was wondering how you all sign your works of art. I have an electric engraving tool that i scratch my name onto the piece of steel that my work is on. My signature is faint that is the problem. I am thinking of getting a stamp and put my name in that way. Has anyone done this and if so would like to know the results. The other thought is weld a small metal plaque on each piece . I have seen it once. Has anyone done a lasar label. I am just curious to know what people do these…

READ THE FINE PRINT: I made the mistake of not reading the fine print and this past week tried to cancel with my present credit card company. I found out that when the three years expires it automatically gives you another 3 years unless you write 90 days in advance to cancel. So now i am stuck till april 2013. I did not read the fine print. If I want out it will cost me $314.00. The one good thing to come out of this is that i was told that my rates are going to come down. (I…

i need opinion from anyone. i am in process of designing a sculpture for someone in tx. they originally want 100 pieces now supposedly they are down to 20. I have been redesigning this piece now for over 3 weeks. They did not like this, i changed it, they did not like that, i changed that. Finally sent them a picture of a final design. First of all they treated the artist fine. Bringing by water and snacks both Sat. and Sun. If you were alone they did come around and sit in your booth while the artist went to the bathroom (portopotties). Setup and teardown were easy. Prescott usually gets rain on this particular weekend. Well the rain…

Ruth Finkenbiner said… Hi Steve,
Shows we are considering for May / June 2012 in Northern CA:
| El Dorado Art & Wine Affair | ||
| Berryessa Art & Wine Festival | ||
| Los Altos Art Festival | ||
| Art on the Main | ||
| Mountain A La Carte & Art | ||
Affaire in the Gardens
|
| Novto Festival of Art, Wine and Music |
| Hermosa Beach Art Walk |
| Live Oak Park Fair |
| Danville Fine Arts Fair |
| Marin Arts Festival |
Any you think we should avoid at all costs or any you recommend?
BTW, we don't do Bumbershoot and we live here, in fact I don't know any artists who do that show. Folklife (Memorial Day) is much better, Bumbershoot is way too much buy/sell. Be glad to share any info on other shows in this region that you are interested in.
