Edward Loedding commented on Tom Yates's blog post This is my first post here
"I know this comment is a little late, but better late than never.  In response to Bill and Jon Slade, this (2011) will be my third year of doing shows with Paragon, and I can highly recommend them. Bill Kinney, the promoter, cares about…"

Tom Yates commented on Kathy Rose's blog post Neptune Arts Festival Virginia Beach, VA
"I was thinking about doing that show till I saw the price tag. Hate paying that kind of money for an outdoor show and being the slave of the weather and praying that I make it back. Sorry to hear about your sales."

Anne Marie Gardens show

Two weeks ago had another great show at Anne Marie Gardens Arts Fest. in Solomons Island Maryland. Great great show! Sold almost 50 carvings in 2 days. Every year this show gets better and better for me. Over 100 artists make the show. Set up and breaking down can either be easy or hard depending on where you are. They have 3 areas. The path, the circle, and inside the main building. Lots of help with setting up and breaking down. The customers were coming thru all day both days and the weather…See More

Jill Beninato commented on Tom Yates's blog post Portsmouth VA. Sea wall art show
"The show was very well run...I have NEVER had event staff come around every few hours giving out free water to all the vendors, coffee and danish in the morning, booth breaks anytime you need them and assistance with breakdown. We had a little room…"

Walt Bennett commented on Tom Yates's blog post Portsmouth VA. Sea wall art show
"This sounds like it's run by the same folks that do the Gosport Arts Festival in May. We vended there in 2007 and while our sales reflected our location (at the end near the water), everything else was the same. Very well managed, safe and…"

"The set up was an easy one for me cause I was on the very end. Thanks goodness for that because I had some monster carvings to unload. They encourage the artists to set up the night before. I believe there were around 80 artists of the highest…"

Portsmouth VA. Sea wall art show

I have to say I have just attended the best run show in the past 18 years of doing art shows. The people who ran this show were top shelf! From set up to break down they were always there helping and offering water, coffee , booth breaks, info, you name it. The customers were fantastic one of my better selling shows.....and I needed it big time. Charming town with tons of history and friendly buying customers, plus the weather was a big contributor as well beautiful sunny day. Can't wait for…See More

I want to tell you about a show promoter Terry Mcmullen who promoted a show in Amagansett Long Island. I have to say she did nothing other than collect the booth fees and leave. She promised a high end art show, live entertainment, advertisements and large crowds. None of it happened. In the middle of the show the artists started a revolt and it got ugly. I have never seen something like this before and I have been doing shows for over 15 years. The trash wasn't collected till 11am Sunday and… Continue
